I'm Nathan Ayres, an aspiring character animator. I've graduated from ITT Technical Institute in Louisville, KY, and am actively seeking a job in the field of character animation. I have an excellent understanding of balance, anticipation, weight, timing, form, and overall physical motion. In addition I have a strong ability to add unique personality, appropriate emotion, and in general breathe life into any character.
I have over 7 years experience in character animation using a variety of programs, including Lightwave, 3ds Max, Maya, XSI and Flash. I have to date completed 5 "short films," all created in my spare time as a hobby, with 2 more currently in production.
I'm also the lead animator and a senior developer on Black Mesa: A Half-Life 2 modification. I oversee five other animators, assign tasks, verify quality of work, and have rigged, weighted, and animated various NPCs, weapons, props, and custom scripted sequences in the game. I also lip sync lines of dialogue.
Please feel free to browse my portfolio, and if you have any questions at all, don't hesitate to call or email me!
